The Archives Supervisor frequently gives lectures on many different topics relating to Clay County and its history. Some of the most popular topics are:
- Clay County in the Civil War
- Clay County under Spanish rule
- Agriculture
- Hotel and Steamboat eras
Please see the Clay County History MasterDoc to look through all of the subjects that could form the basis of a presentation.
The Archives staff also give tours of the Historic Triangle, including the Archives office and old jail, to school groups, clubs, societies, and/or other interested parties. These tours can be customized to fit the interests and learning goals of any group; however, they are recommended for children aged 9 and older, as younger children are often afraid of the cell block.
For any questions, call (904) XXX-XXXX or request an appointment using the keywords “tour” or “lecture” in the subject field.
